How concerned should Christians be about caring for the environment? It depends on the Christian and his or her gifts; it’s not something we can generalize about. But we can state some principles, as I did in a monograph for the Institute on Religion and Democracy, What Is the Most Important Environmental Task Facing American Christians Today?

Why do we always call someone who cares about the environment a tree hugger, when that could be a gift given to them by God?

Interesting/Sad piece by Al Mohler on a Newsweek article.

The Newsweek article represents what may be the most direct journalistic attack on marriage in our times. Though only an op-ed column, it presents arguments that had to date been made largely, if not exclusively, outside of mainstream circles. Consider this column an opening salvo in a battle to finish marriage off, once and for all.

I have always wondered where we get all our plans and ideas for church planting?  You don’t really see it in the Bible.  Paul doesn’t tell us to gather a core group, then go to small groups, and then have a launch service.  Steve Addison asks a good question when it comes to church planting.

So I’d ask this question,

In Acts, what were the obstacles to making disciples and planting churches, and how were they overcome?
